Neighbors Voice Concerns Over Proposed Stadium in Loudoun County

There are concerns in Loudoun County over a proposed baseball stadium.

The new home for the Loudoun Hounds would be in a mixed use development right at the corner of Route 7 and the Loudoun County Parkway in Ashburn, Va. Some neighbors say they don't want the extra noise or traffic.

In addition to baseball, the proposed 5,000-seat stadium would host a soccer team and concerts.

At the Potomac Green Active Adult Community not far from the One Loudoun construction site, residents fear the unknown, while developer say they are trying to be good neighbors.

Loudoun County Supervisor Shawn Williams, who oversees this district, said that while he sees positives with the ballpark plan, there are development concerns all across the county. The county has grown too fast, he said.

But not everyone is worried. Resident Robbie Milberg who has lived there for six years told News4 he welcomes the stadium.

The stadium relocation hasn't received final approval yet. The vote to approve the stadium deal is expected by the spring.
