The Maryland Department of Agriculture is expanding its efforts to protect you from mosquito bites.
Several communities in Anne Arundel County will be sprayed on Aug. 18 and Aug. 25. The spraying will begin at 7:30 p.m. Officials say residents should avoid outdoor activities on these nights.
The extra protection comes after evidence of West Nile virus in the area
The following communities will be affected: Amberfield, Bancroft, Chapman Farms, Conways, Crofton Chase, Crofton Colony, Crofton Community District, Crofton Downs, Crofton Meadows, Manors of Crofton, Meadowcroft Condos, Mayfair Village and Walden.
