Some Alexandria teachers are really feeling appreciated.
The PTA at Mount Vernon Community Elementary School, with help from local businesses, did a complete makeover on the teacher's lounge and surprised them during teacher appreciation week.
Among the changes, freshly painted walls, new furniture and accessories, a filtered water system, and moving storage boxes to a new shed outside that volunteers also built.
