A missing Maryland girl last seen by her family last week was found safe, Montgomery County police said Wednesday.
Jessica Nadine Matamoros, 13, had last been seen by family when she left her home on Cross Country Court in Gaithersburg on foot Friday. Police and her family were concerned for her welfare and sought the public's help locating her.
Matamoros was described as white, 5-feet-2-inches tall and 108 pounds. She has long black hair, brown eyes and glasses. She was last seen wearing a black jacket and red and green Christmas-themed pajama pants.
Police were asking anyone with information on Matamoros' whereabouts to call its Special Victims Investigations Division at 240-773-5400 or the 24-hour police non-emergency number at 301-279-8000.
