Missing 79-Year-Old Woman Found Safe

Hope Pridgen, who suffers from Alzheimer's disease, last seen Monday near 17th and I streets NW

A 79-year-woman with Alzheimer's disease who went missing on Monday was found safe about 24 hours later.

Hope Pridgen -- who was last seen near 17th and I streets NW -- was found around mid-day Tuesday.

Pridgen suffers from Alzheimer's Disease and was registered in the Alzheimer's Association's Medic Alert + Safe Return Program. She was wearing a Safe Return bracelet.

Last Friday, Victoria Kong, 83, another woman suffering from memory problems, went missing from Reagan National Airport after arriving on a flight from Miami. Kong's body was found Monday near Gravelly Point.
