Metro Transit Officer on Leave After Women Say He Shoved Them

A transit police officer is on administrative leave after two women filed a complaint saying he shoved them.

Metro spokeswoman Morgan Dye says Officer Andy Vinh was placed on leave after the 22-year-old northern Virginia women filed complaints Monday.

Laurel Watkins and Stevie Kitching say Vinh told them they were too intoxicated to use Metro on Saturday. They returned 30 minutes later and recorded Vinh telling them to leave again. They say he shoved them outside the fare gates, leaving bruises.

The Washington Post reports others have complained about Vinh. Last month, a video showed him sweeping a handcuffed teen's legs from under her after she brought snacks into a station. Vinh remained in service during a review. Dye notes the teen wasn't injured and didn't file a complaint.
