‘May God Get You': Maryland Mother Challenges 20-Year-Old Son's Killer

A mother has a strong message for the person who shot and killed her son inside her home in Silver Spring, Maryland, Wednesday night.

"I saw you. I saw what you did. I chased you to your car. So you know that I recognize you and the car. So, now you're going to have to come after me. You did something to my son, who was innocent, so now you're going to have to come after me. And may God get you," said Gisell Morch.

Someone shot Morch's son, 20-year-old Jon-Christian Kemachet-Webster, inside the family's home in the 1600 block of Belvedere Boulevard in the Forest Glen area of Silver Spring and then fled, police said.

Kemachet-Webster was taken to a hospital, where he died a short time later.

Detectives believe Kemachet-Webster knew the shooter.

Police have not released information on a possible motive for the killing.

Morch said she saw at least one more person, who was driving a getaway car.

Sources close to the investigation said police are looking for three possible suspects in a dark-colored Honda.

"A parent is not supposed to bury their child. A child is supposed to bury their parent," Morch said.

Detectives urge anyone who may have information about the homicide to contact the Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5070. For those who wish to remain anonymous, Crime Solvers of Montgomery County is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for any information that leads to the arrest of the responsible suspects.
