Police in Maryland are looking for a high school teacher missing since the weekend.

Deborah Anne Celmer’s family last saw her about 11 p.m. Saturday, Montgomery County police said. They contacted police after she didn’t show up for work Monday.

Celmer teaches English at Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School.

“We understand that this news may be challenging for some students, staff and community members to process,” the school’s principal said in a statement.

Counseling is available at the school for anyone who needs it.
