Gunshot Victim Found in D.C. Car Crash Dies

Police say a man suffering from a gunshot wound was found inside a car that had crashed and flipped over Wednesday night.

Crews responded to the 900 block of Madison Street NW around 8 p.m. for a multi-vehicle crash. There, they found a gunshot victim inside one of the car's driver's seats.

The man was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead. D.C. homicide detectives are investigating the incident.

It's still unknown where the man was shot. No other information about the crash or shooting has been released.

If the man's death is ruled a homicide, it would be the District's 24th so far this year.
