A driver suspected of crashing a car with 17 pounds of marijuana inside was arrested after he tried to flee the scene using an Uber, police said.
Baltimore police said 32-year-old Brandon McDaniel was taken into custody Monday shortly after police discovered the vehicle, which had crashed into a light pole.
Inside the crashed car, police said they found 17 freezer bags of marijuana, each weighing about a pound.
A witness told the officer that the driver ran away. Police said McDaniel was found and arrested a short time later while trying to leave the area in an Uber.
It's unclear what charges he faces.
It's not immediately clear whether McDaniel has an attorney.
