A man killed in a crash in Maryland early Tuesday was thrown from the vehicle, said Prince George's County police.
Officers say the driver was traveling in the 4900 block of Floral Park Road in Brandywine when he lost control and crashed into trees. He was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver's name and age have not been released.
The man was the only person in the van; no other vehicles were involved in the accident. Speed may have been a factor in this crash, police said.
One lane of Floral Park Road is closed between Dobson and S. Springfield roads.
