Police say a man has died after being shot multiple times at a barber shop in Southeast D.C. Friday morning.
Officers were called to the Kutt-N-Upp Barber Shop in the 1400 block of Good Hope Road SE at 11:45 a.m. for a report of a shooting.
Police say the shooter was wearing a black ski mask when he entered the barber shop, approached the victim and opened fire. Nothing was taken from the business.
The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he later died.
"We think that maybe before he put the mask on, he was out here walking around prior to that or, you know, right before he entered," said Commander George Kucik. "We're hoping that maybe someone saw something and may recognize this individual or can give us some information that can help identify him."
Police closed the block off while they investigated the shooting.
The identity of the victim has not been released.
