A 25-year-old man was shot to death Tuesday night while walking with his cousin and two children in Federalsburg, Maryland.
Timothy Darnell Smith was shot while walking with his family members to a downtown store in Federalsburg, in Caroline County.
Smith collapsed moments after police responded. Officers tried to revive him, but he was pronounced dead soon after arriving at a hospital in nearby Seaford, Delaware.
Investigators say they tracked a car seen in the area of the shooting to 55-year-old James Bolden, of Federalsburg.
Maryland State Police have arrested Bolden. He is charged with first-degree murder in Smith's death.
Police have declined to discuss a motive or whether Bolden and Smith knew each other.
It's unclear whether Bolden has an attorney.
