Police Search for Suspects in NE Homicide

Police say a Prince George's County man was gunned down in Northeast Washington Monday morning, and the gunmen are still on the loose.

Officers were called to the 1200 block of Brentwood Avenue NE just after 12:15 a.m. for a report of a shooting.

When they arrived, they found 29-year-old Marcus McClam of Upper Marlboro suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body. Police say McClam later died from his injuries.

One neighbor says the sound of gunfire is common in the neighborhood.

"I'm so used to hearing gunshots, you know. It's sad," said Linda Evans, who lives in the building. "I was telling my son, 'How can a person take a person's life then go home and go to sleep?' That's cold blooded."

Two men were seen leaving the scene in a black, 4-door car.

A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for any information that leads to an arrest and conviction. Anyone with information is asked to call 202-727-9099.
