Montgomery County police are investigating the shooting death of a man in Burtonsville, Maryland.
Officers were called to a home in the 4500 block of Sandy Spring Road just before 10:30 p.m. Tuesday for an assault. When they arrived, they found a man inside suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body.
The victim died from his injuries at the hospital. Police have identified the man as 22-year-old Syed Asad Hassan.
Wednesday morning, detectives found marijuana in the home where Hassan was killed, police said.
Police have charged 20-year-old Jason Berrios and 19-year-old Tevon Davis with possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
Berrios, who lives at the Sandy Spring Road home, and Davis were at the home at the time of the shooting, police said. However, police have not identified any suspects in Hassan's killing.
Berrios is being held on a $250,000 bond. Bond has not been set for Davis, police said Wednesday afternoon.
