‘He's Got Gunshot Wounds Everywhere': Man Critically Injured During Attempted Home Invasion in Md.

A Prince George's County father is looking for answers after his 20-year-old son was shot several times during an attempted home invasion in District Heights, Maryland, Wednesday morning.

The incident happened at 12:30 a.m. at a home on the 1900 block of Addison Road South.

Leroy Butts says his son was shot multiple times and is in for the fight of his life.

"My son's beat up in the hospital right now. He's got gunshot wounds everywhere, everywhere," Butts said. "He's got a fight on his hands. My son's in there fighting for his life."

Butts says his son was shot in the neck, head and leg.

Officer Tyler Hunter with the Prince George's County Police Department said multiple people were inside the home at the time of the attempted home invasion. Police have not determined the victim's involvement in the incident, but Butts believes his son may have been targeted.

No arrests have been made at this time.

No other injuries were reported.
