Man Convicted of Double Stabbing in Rockville Facing Life in Prison

A man convicted of randomly attacking two other men at a bus stop at the Rockville Metro station in December could be sentenced to life in prison.

Video recorded about 6 a.m. Dec. 14 showed a man in a dark coat and knit cap walking through the Metro station. Moments later, another camera caught him walking toward a bus stop. From a distance, a man is seen staggering and clutching his stomach.

Then, the camera on the next bus showed people who appeared to not realize what happened boarding the bus before one man finally points out a victim.

A jury deliberated for eight hours before finding 38-year-old Reginald Cooper of Silver Spring guilty.

The victims, who were on their way to an English language class, survived their injuries after surgery and a lengthy recovery.
