Peeping Tom Allegedly Spied on Men in Restrooms, Police Say

A peeping Tom spied on young men in the restrooms of several stores around Maryland, say Howard County police.

Earlier this month, a security guard at Columbia Mall told police he watched a man repeatedly follow young men into the restroom and made efforts to look at their genitals.

Officers reviewed the mall's surveillance footage and saw the man, identified by police as 48-year-old Marc Scott Dawson, enter the restroom 31 times in two hours.

Authorities followed Dawson a few days later and say they caught him engaging in the same behavior at the Security Square Mall in Baltimore and at a Home Depot in Catonsville. One of the incidents involved a juvenile, police said.

Dawson has been charged with multiple counts of visual surveillance with prurient intent and peeping Tom. He faces charges in both Howard and Baltimore counties.

He was released on a $15,000 bail.

Authorities are looking for anyone else who may have been a victim.
