A man and woman were found dead in a home in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Washington, D.C. Monday afternoon and police are investigating.
The pair was found inside a home on the 200 block of Tennessee Avenue NE, about a block and a half northeast of Lincoln Park, the Metropolitan Police Department said. Police initially called the death suspicious and then called their involvement a "death investigation" of an "isolated incident."
The man and woman were in their late 20s to early 30s and had been renovating a house, according to sources. There was no sign of forced entry to the home, sources said.
Officers had been called to check on the welfare of the man and woman.
Police did not release additional information immediately but said there is no cause for greater concern in the neighborhood.
