Suspect Shot Alexandria Man in Retaliation for Brother's Death, Police Say

Police in Alexandria, Virginia, believe the man accused in recent shooting of a 23-year-old man committed the murder as revenge for his brother's death.

Dijuan Clark, 30, was arrested Thursday in another state and charged with the murder of Saquan Hall, 23. Dijuan Clark is awaiting extradition to Virginia.

Saquan Hall, 23, was gunned down in the 1000 block of First Street on July 2. Three weeks before Hall's death, Pierre Clark was shot to death in broad daylight.

Hall's mother, Patrice Hall, previously said police told her that her son was a suspect in Pierre Clark's death. And though Saquan Hall was never charged, she believes that he was targeted for retaliation.

"The way they handled it in coming here in my home and all that, word got out and it put Saquan in harm's way," she said. "They had no proof that Saquan had shot Pierre."

Police have not officially said whether Saquan Hall was a suspect in Pierre Clark's death.
