Man Accused of 3 Sex Assaults, Robbery of Taxi Driver Reaches Plea Agreement

A man accused of three sex assaults and the robbery of a taxi driver reached a plea deal and could be sentenced to 25 years in prison.

Christian A. Jordan pleaded guilty Monday to first-degree sexual assault and armed robbery. Prosecutors say he lurked at a Metro parking garage and tried to get women to perform sex acts by threatening them with a BB gun that looked like an actual gun.

Jordan was arrested near the Westfield Wheaton mall's JC Penney Dec. 11 after a woman in a neighborhood behind the mall reported she was assaulted and almost kidnapped. She positively identified Jordan as the suspect.

The night of Dec. 8, a 33-year-old woman was opening the door of her vehicle in the Wheaton Metro garage when a man demanded she follow him to a pedestrian bridge and perform a sex act. When she refused, he fled the scene.

About 11 p.m. Dec. 10, a 37-year-old woman was walking in the garage when a man demanded that she perform a sex act near a pedestrian bridge. She complied. The assault was interrupted when the assailant heard another person walking up the garage stairs.

About 15 minutes later, Jordan entered a cab at the Wheaton Metro station and asked to be driven toward Plyers Mill Road, police said. He then demanded the driver's money and fled with cash.

In each of these crimes, a handgun was displayed. According to court records, it was a fake.
