Major Push To Trap ‘East Coast Rapist'

Digital billboards featuring sketches of the suspect are running in the four states where attacks occurred including Virginia and Maryland.

Police have also set up a website about the case at EastCoastRapist.com -- it contains maps, composite sketches and very specific details about how this man operates.

The same individual is believed responsible for a dozen separate attacks that targeted 17 women. The most recent occurred in Woodbridge, Va., in 2009, where he was almost caught when a victim was able to send a text message to her mother calling for help.

All the attacks have been linked by DNA, but investigators say they need someone to recognize and identify him.
