Hundreds of Washingtonians are looking to shrink their waistlines with America watching.
They're competing for a spot on season 13 of NBC's hit show "The Biggest Loser."
Casting directors set up shop at Prince George's Sports and Learning Complex Saturday in search of great personalities with the drive to kick unhealthy habits.
Those who ultimately make it on the show must have at least 85 pounds to lose.
Luckily, there was no shortage of people wanting a new lease on life and ready for the challenge.
“I’m just tired of making excuses,” said 23 year-old Davon Wright of Washington. “I want to change my life around.”
Nineteen-year-old Jordan Hayden of Calvert County, Maryland came out with similar weight loss goals.
“I’ve been big for a while,” he said. “It’s always been a struggle to not only get it off, but keep it off so I feel like this will help me do that,” he continued.
If Wright and Hayden make the cut, their stories air early next year.
The next batch of Biggest Loser hopefuls premiere on NBC next month.
That season is currently taping.
The winner of the competition walks away $250,000 richer.
