BURGLAR ALLEGEDLY RECORDED WOMEN NAKED, TOOK UNDERWEAR: POLICE
The Capital: "County police are trying to identify several people who may have unknowingly appeared naked in a burglary suspect's hidden video. This week, officers charged 35-year-old Charles Dean Novak, of 1679 Fallowfield Court in Crofton, with burglary and theft. But "peeping tom" charges could be added because officers searched his home and found women's underwear and video that contained footage of partially nude people who apparently didn't know they were being recorded, police said."
"SMART METER" REDUCES OUTAGE TIME...
wtop.com: "The Washington region's largest energy utility company is implementing a new system in area homes that it says would reduce power outages from hours to mere seconds. Pepco will install new 'Smart Meters' in the homes of all D.C. and Maryland customers by the end of 2012. The devices connect to a new high-tech smart grid and are designed to automatically detect an outage and reroute power."
DUMPLING DAY
Fairfax Connection: "Every family has its own holiday traditions, from a ceremonial cutting of a turkey, to a Christmas pickle, to a story read to the children every Christmas Eve. For my family, our tradition is one of hard-work, hot oil, an ungodly amount of tofu-beef-bean sprout-onion-carrot-noodle-egg mixture. For my family, Christmas Eve has another name: Dumpling Day."
