Limited Service Thursday on MARC Camden Line Due to Brush Fires

Service on the MARC Camden Line will be "extremely limited" Thursday morning after a brush fire that caused significant train delays on Wednesday.

The brush fires were near the Dorsey MARC Station just off Route 100.

The following Camden Line trains will operate on Thursday morning:

  • Train 845 (6:10am departure from Camden Yards)
  • Train 851 (8:05am departure from Camden Yards)
  • Train 846 (8:00am departure from Union Station)

Trains will operate with additional capacity, however, they will not be able to transport all Camden Line passengers that ride on a typical day, MARC said.

MARC is advising Camden Line passengers to consider driving to a Penn LIne station or using the Metrorail. Both are honoring MARC tickets Thursday morning, MARC said.

Camden Line service is expected to be back to normal Thursday evening, but MARC said it will officially give an update in the afternoon.

MARC said the reduction in service is necessary due to Federal Railroad Administration regulations regarding mandatory rest time that conductors and engineers must observe between shifts.
