Jogger Killed by Train Identified

Victim was from Silver Spring

Detectives from Montgomery County have now identified a jogger hit and killed by a train on July 25.

Joshua Brodsky was found about 50 yards from the Kensington MARC station.  He was 44 years old and lived in the Blair Towers apartment complex in Silver Spring, Md.

Police received information leading to his identification after handing out a sketch over the weekend. It is unclear where he worked or if he had family in the area.

For a week, Brodsky’s identity was a mystery.  He was found wearing blue jogging shorts and Avia running shoes and carrying no identification.  Evidence at the scene indicated he had been struck by a train.
