Suspect Wanted in Jewelry Store Theft

Platinum and diamond ring worth more than $25,000

Police are looking for a man who made off with a platinum and diamond ring worth more than $25,000.

A man visited Kings Jewelers in Alexandria on July 24 and had asked to look at diamond rings. In the process, police say, he swiped the ring pictured above.

The suspect is described as a black male, age 40 to 50, with a bald head and mustache. He is 5'10" to 6'1" and weighs 185 to 190 pounds. He has a tattoo on the left side of his neck that included the words, "Sigma Forever," but might have also had a third word.

The suspect was also wearing a unique wedding band that is described as white gold that crisscrossed at the top of the ring, with a row of three diamonds.
