IKEA Recalls Child High Chairs for Fall Hazard

Restraint buckles could open

IKEA is recalling about 169,000 high chairs because the restraint buckle can open unexpectedly and a child can fall out.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission says the recall includes ANTILOP high chairs sold in red, blue and white.

The CPSC says there have been three reports of children injured after they fell out of the high chairs.

The high chairs involved in the recall include the following model numbers:

ANTILOP high chair blue Model # 701.467.92
ANTILOP high chair red Model # 501.467.93
ANTILOP high chair white Model # 300.697.24

The plastic high chairs have detachable silver-colored metal legs.

The high chairs were sold between August 2006 through January 2010 for about $20.

Consumers should stop using the high chairs immediately and contact IKEA for a free replacement seat restraint.

The high chairs are sold exclusively at IKEA.  They were manufactured in China.
