iPads Stolen From Virginia State Senators

Three of four have been recovered

A state Capitol custodian is behind bars, charged with stealing iPads from four state Senate offices.

The Richmond Times-Dispatch reports that 30-year-old Tyrone Darrick Thomas faces three counts of grand larceny.

Capitol police Capt. Raymond J. Goodloe says two of the iPads were stolen at the same time, so Thomas only faces three charges.

The iPads were stolen in February and March from the offices of Republican Sens. Jill Holtzman Vogel of Fauquier, Steve Martin of Chesterfield, Jeff McWaters of Virginia Beach and Richard Stuart of Stafford.

Authorities have recovered three of the four iPads. Martin's remains missing.

Thomas has been banned from the Capitol complex.
