Husband Leads Police to Wife's Dead Body

Police say a man called them to confess to killing his wife

Montgomery County police are investigating an apparent homicide in the 1000 of Quebec Terrace in Silver Spring, Md. 

At about midnight, a man calling from a pay phone said he had killed his wife a few hours earlier, police said. When they arrived at the pay phone, the man, who's been identified as 32-year-old Bernardo Flores-Olvera, led police back to his apartment, where they found his wife's body.

Elizabeth Vasquez, 33, had suffered severe trauma to her body, police said.

The couple has children but they were not home at the time, police said.

No cause of death or motive has been released.

Flores-Olvera is in police custody.
