Hungry Thief Breaks Into NW DC Chipotle, Eats Barbacoa Meat, Drinks Juice

A man broke into a Chipotle restaurant in northwest Washington, D.C., sat down, and ate some food before leaving the location, according to D.C. police.

A police report said the general manager of the restaurant found the man inside a Chipotle restaurant on the 600 block of F Street Northwest shortly after 6 a.m. on Jan. 1. The general manager said the man ate a tray of barbacoa meat and drank an apple juice after the man broke into the location just after 3 a.m.

Security cameras alerted store officials to the break-in. Police said the alarm control box for the restaurant was destroyed.

The general manager told police after she told the man to leave, he entered a nearby McDonald's restaurant, which was open. Police did not release a description of the hungry thief.
