Almost 50 children were rescued after a major nationwide child prostitution bust that involved raids in 29 cities.
The stings dismantled 12 prostitution rings that were run through call services, truck stops, casinos and Web sites, according to the FBI.
Almost 650 adults were arrested. Forty-seven teenagers were rescued; 10 of them had been reported missing.
The operation was part of a five-year initiative that has led to the recovery of 575 children since June 2003.
