Human Remains Found in Car Belong to Driver's Son

The human remains found in a car on Interstate 64 in Hampton, Virginia earlier this month, belonged to the driver’s son, Virginia State Police said Friday.

Tonya M. Slaton, 44, of Richmond, was arrested and charged with “concealment of a dead body” on June 6, police said. She is currently being held without bond and has additional charges pending.

Although Quincy Jamar Davis would have turned 25 on Tuesday, police say the remains belonged to a juvenile. It is unknown how or when Davis died.

Police have not found any witnesses who know about Davis’s life after 2004, when he was living and going to school in Virginia Beach.
