Homicide Victim Left at Firehouse in Prince George's County

Police believe victim shot at a different location

A man died after being left at a firehouse in Prince George's County shortly after midnight Friday.

A man drove a car to the Ritchie Volunteer Fire Department, rang the bell and told a firefighter that a man in the back seat needed help. Then the man ran away.

In the backseat, 27-year-old Charles Thompson was suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police learned the car was stolen, but they are still trying to figure out where Thompson was shot, who the other man was and why he ran from the firehouse.
