Get ready to say hello to summer.

We have two days left of cooler weather until scorching temperatures hit Sunday, Storm Team4 forecasts.

After a cooler Friday and Saturday, the heat is expected to roll in Sunday, with afternoon highs in the mid 90s and heat indexes nearing 100 degrees. This will continue through at least Wednesday.

Until then, it will be sunny from start to finish Friday, with afternoon highs reaching about 80 degrees.

Expect clear skies and mild temperatures in the 60s on Saturday morning, with highs in the mid- to upper-80s in the afternoon. Warm air will creep in throughout the day, potentially bringing one or two isolated showers in the afternoon.

The heat wave takes hold Sunday, bringing humidity with it. If your air conditioning needs a checkup, now's the time to get that done.
