DC ‘Hamilton' Tickets to Go on Sale Soon

Members of the Kennedy Center will get first dibs

Tickets to see "Hamilton" in D.C. will be on sale soon.

Members of The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts will get first dibs on the tickets, starting Feb. 28 at 10 a.m., the Kennedy Center announced Thursday.

Anyone can become a Kennedy Center member by giving, at minimum, a $60 tax-deductible donation. These donations can be submitted online or over the phone.

Then, tickets will go on sale to the general public in March. The specific ticket release date will be announced 10 to 14 days beforehand.

Tickets to the Tony Award-winning show will start at $99 each and go up to $625. There's a four-ticket limit per household.

The show will run from June 12 to Sept. 16.

Kennedy Center officials said their website is the only official place to buy tickets to the show. Tickets also are available for sale in their building.

"Hamilton" was first performed nearly three years ago, in New York. Lin-Manuel Miranda's musical has since won 11 Tony Awards, a Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album and and the 2016 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
