With students heading back to school, safety advocates are out with messages for drivers, parents and the kids themselves.
No matter how students get to school, there are things they need to know to stay safe.
Members of the National Transportation Safety Board, Loudoun County Public Schools, Safe Kids Fairfax County, Youth of Virginia Speak Out, and Virginia Safe Routes are encouraging parents discuss safety with their children, even if they ride the bus.
