Girl Rescued From D.C. House Fire

D.C. Firefighters rescued a 13-year-old girl from a row house fire in southwest Washington Tuesday evening, according to D.C. Fire and EMS.

Crews responding to a call for a house fire at 4036 First St. SW were made aware that the teenage girl was trapped inside and quickly rescued her from the building, officials said.

The girl was taken to the hospital in critical condition after being treated for smoke inhalation.

Two adults were able to make it out of the building, and one was treated for smoke inhalation, fire officials said.

The fire is still under investigation.
