A group of 20 to 30 young people rushed into a high-end clothing store in Georgetown Tuesday night and robbed the business, police say.
The juveniles surged into the Diesel store on the 3000 block of M Street NW about 6 p.m., the Metropolitan Police Department said. Information how much they stole wasn't immediately available.
Inquiries to the business were not returned immediately.
Last month, retailers in Georgetown stopped using an app to communicate with each other and police about people they suspect of shoplifting or deem suspicious. The app facilitated racial profiling, critics said.
Dozens of teens committed another "flash mob" robbery at the now-closed True Religion store nearby in February 2014. Members of the group stuffed more than $1,000 worth of jeans into bags and ran out, as News4 reported.
