Former Montgomery County Police Officer Sworn in to Maryland House of Delegates

A former Montgomery County police officer was sworn into Maryland's House of Delegates Monday.

House Speaker Michael Busch swore in the new delegate, David Fraser-Hidalgo, in the House chamber in Annapolis.

Fraser-Hidalgo, 44, will represent District 15 in Montgomery County, replacing Brian Feldman, who was appointed to the state Senate last month.

The new delegate was a Montgomery County police officer before moving to the private sector. He currently works as area sales director for Regus, a global provider of small and midsize business support.

He previously served as vice president of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce for Montgomery County. He also was vice president of Boyds Civic Association.
