Three people have been arrested in connection with a robbery of a 95-year-old woman, including one of the woman's former caretakers.
The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office says three masked suspects, dressed in all black, entered the home on Town Creek Drive through a window around 3 a.m. last Thursday.
The suspects tied the woman and her caretaker up and stole several items before leaving.
The woman's caretaker was able to free herself and called 911. The 95-year-old woman was taken to an area hospital as a precaution, but was not injured during the burglary.
Authorities say during the course of their investigation it was discovered that a former caretaker, 24-year-old Jessica Johnson, had been recently terminated and may have been involved in the robbery.
After searching Johnson's Charles County hotel room, investigators found information that indicated that some items stolen from the home on Town Creek Drive were being kept at a home in Newburg, Maryland.
Items related to the burglary were recovered at the home in Newburg.

Along with Johnson, 27-year-old Johnny Young and 60-year-old William Gross have been charged with first degree burglary, armed robbery, unlawful detention, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, first degree assault, second degree assault and theft $1,000 to 10,000.
