The truck that burned served Middle Eastern food, said Michael Habtemariam, who owns a fleet of Rollin Pizza trucks. One of his company's trucks was parked directly behind the truck that caught fire. Habtemariam said he didn't know that company's name.

The Rollin Pizza workers were able to get out of their truck safely. "My guys, we locked the truck and we got out," Habtemariam said. The pizza truck suffered minor damage closest to where the fire burned, including a melted windshield and bumper, he said. The truck will get repaired and put back on the road.
Habtemariam said every time he sees a report of a food truck fire, he thinks of the importance of his food trucks being properly equipped for a fire. “This is not the first,” he said. “So you got to be careful.”
