Firefighter Injured After Falling Through Floor of Reston Home

A firefighter was injured Wednesday morning after falling through the floor of a burning townhome in Reston, Virginia. 

Firefighters were called to the home on the 1600 block of Greenbriar Court just after 5 a.m. When they arrived, they found flames coming from the rear of the home. 

Fire officials say one firefighter was injured when the floor of the home collapsed. The firefighter fell through the floor and was taken to the hospital with a non-life-threatening injury. 

No residents were home when the fire started. 

The cause of the fire is not known at this time.
