Fire Fills DC Medical Marijuana Facility With Smoky Haze

One firefighter suffered a minor injury

A medical marijuana facility in Washington, D.C., went up in smoke Saturday.

D.C. Fire and EMS responded to a fire at a two-story warehouse in the 1800 block of Fenwick Street NE about 2 p.m.

Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze and contained it to one room on the first floor of the building that's used as a medical marijuana facility.

One firefighter went to the hospital with a minor injury, the department said. 

Investigators are still working on finding a cause.
