An FBI employee apparently stabbed his wife to death before killing himself in Maryland Wednesday morning, Anne Arundel police said.
About 8 a.m., a woman called 911 on behalf of the victim to report a domestic assault in the 500 block of Arundel Boulevard in Crownsville, police said. The victim said she was being threatened by her recently estranged husband.
Officers found 54-year-old Donna Fisher and 52-year-old David Raynor dead outside a home, police said. Fisher suffered apparent stab wounds, and Raynor suffered apparent stab wounds and a self-inflicted gunshot.
“This certainly looks like a domestic-related incident that got violent and deadly very quick,” Lt. Ryan Frashure said.
Police said they'd never before been called to that address.
Raynor, who lived in Annapolis, was an employee with the Baltimore Field Office of the FBI, police said. FBI spokesman Dave Fitz said Raynor was a special agent since 1996 and had been stationed in Baltimore since 2003. The FBI does not believe the deaths are related to any investigations.
The bodies were taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. Homicide detectives are investigating.
