Pr. George's Homicide Count Climbs After Stabbing

One man is dead and another injured after being stabbed in Adelphi, Md., Monday evening, according to Prince George’s County Police.

That's now 10 homicides in the county in the first 10 days of the new year.

The two victims were walking on a sidewalk near the Shoppers Food Warehouse in Adelphi when they were attacked, police said.

Police said the four suspects in the stabbings fled on foot and may be gang members.

The identities of the two male victims are unknown at this time, but they are described as being in their late teens to mid-20s, according to police.

Police are asking any witnesses to come forward.

In an effort to deter crime and solve cases, the department transferred several officers into its criminal and narcotics divisions.
