Family Pleads for Help Finding Missing DC Ride-Share Driver

Family members of a missing rideshare driver have come to D.C. in hopes of finding the man, who has been missing for five weeks.

Musba Shifa, 43, originally from Ethiopia, is a rideshare driver for Uber and Lyft. His brother told News4 that Shifa disappeared about 3 a.m. Jan. 19 after picking up a passenger.

His brother traveled from Syracuse, New York, to D.C. Thursday to help the search.

Shifa was last confirmed seen on Jan. 18 on the 1300 block of W St. NW, near where he lives, police say.

Shifa’s phone was turned off and his car is missing. His family asks the public to look out for the car, a black Honda HR-V — similar to a CR-V — with D.C. tags FK 6855. The car may have been parked in one place for a long time.
