Family to Conduct New Search for Missing Hoggle Children

The family of two children who went missing a year and a half ago in Montgomery County is organizing a new search this weekend.

Sarah and Jacob Hoggle went missing in September of 2014 and were last seen with their mother, Catherine Hoggle. The children were 3 and 2 years old when they disappeared and haven't been seen since.

The children's father, Troy Turner, said he is conducting a search on Saturday, April 2 and Sunday, April 3 at Goshen Recreational Park.

"I don't necessarily believe that they're there. But it's one of the more plausible scenarios that we can come up with so that's why there is a rush on getting this done," Turner told News4's Shomari Stone.

Those wanting to participate in the search can register at 8:30 a.m. both days at 22330 Wildcat Road in Goshen. The searches will start at 9 a.m.

According to Montgomery Parks, Goshen Recreational Park is 253 acres and is currently undeveloped for active use.

Hoggle has been in a psychiatric facility since the children disappeared and was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia before they went missing. She told authorities she left the children with a friend, but has never given details of their whereabouts.

She has been charged with child neglect and abduction and hindering an investigation, but has been found incompetent to stand trial several times. Prosecutors believe she is faking imcompetency.

Last month, Hoggle's lawyer told News4 she has tried to escape the psychaitric hospital numerous times.

Turner and other relatives of the children have remained determined to find out what happened to them.

"I miss my kids. I want them home," Turner said.
