The estranged husband of the Arlington, Virginia woman found murdered in her home earlier this year has been arrested.
David Black, 46, was arrested and charged with murder after a special investigative grand jury returned an indictment, Arlington County police said late Thursday.
The murder was the first in Arlington this year.
Black is accused of killing his wife, Bonnie Black, who was found April 17 in her home on the 1100 block of 18th Street South. The psychologist, 42, was found in her bed with a stab wound to her chest and incisions to her neck. Her 5-year-old daughter and 3-year-old son discovered her mother and went into the street in their pajamas looking for help. A neighbor spotted the children and called police.
Black, who did contract work for the FBI, was separated from her husband and they were scheduled to appear in court for a divorce proceeding near the time of the murder. Police previously had responded to domestic disputes at the house.
David Black is charged with first-degree murder and burglary while armed with the intent to commit a felony. His lawyer did not respond to an inquiry immediately.
Investigators returned to his home in September to search for evidence, as News4 reported. Bicycles and paperwork were seized. David Black's lawyer said then that his client was innocent.

David Black waived his arraignment on Friday and is scheduled to appear in court next month. He will remain in jail in the meantime.
