Woman, 95, and Caretaker Tied Up, Robbed at Gunpoint

A 95-year-old woman and her caretaker were tied up and robbed at gunpoint in the woman's home in Lexington Park, Maryland, early Thursday morning.

The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office says three masked suspects, dressed in all black, entered the home on Town Creek Drive through a window around 3 a.m.

The suspects tied the two women up and stole several items before leaving.

The woman's caretaker was able to free herself and called 911. The 95-year-old woman was taken to an area hospital as a precaution, but was not injured during the burglary.

An investigation into the incident is still underway.
